Kodak Disc & APS Film — Processing and Scanning
Kodak Disc and APS film formats were introduced as consumer photographic systems using factory‑loaded cartridges. These formats are unrelated to the Minox 8×11 system and use different cassettes, image sizes and handling methods.
Kodak Disc Film
Kodak Disc film uses a flat plastic cartridge containing a circular disc of film with fifteen exposures. The image size is approximately 8 × 10.5 mm. Disc film is factory‑loaded and cannot be reloaded, cut or modified.
APS Film
APS (Advanced Photo System) film uses a sealed cartridge containing 24 mm wide film. Image format information is recorded magnetically on the film during exposure. APS cartridges are factory‑loaded and are not intended for reuse or manual handling.
